Summary:
|
A digital twin is the digital representation of an observable object with data connection that enables convergence between the physical state and digital state at an appropriate rate of synchronization. The digital twin has been applied in various industry domains including manufacturing, transportation, energy, firefighting, medical and safety. Digital twin federation is the act of sharing application context among two or more digital twins to solve the problems related to multiple domains.
The information exchange model among the components of the digital twin federation, which are the digital twins, the registry and the connection broker, is required to define for digital twin federation based on the requirements. Information includes the data, functions, and services for each digital twin in various domains.
This draft Recommendation defines reference points among relevant components regarding managed peer-to-peer communications and signalling requirements for each reference point.
